Ok, here is the thing, Larry the Cable Guy is one of those characters that you love to not figure out. The man pretends to be stupid so much that it is almost believable; if it wasn't for the fact that he's likely a millionaire or more. While strolling through the Dollar Tree store, I came across this.
I don't normally buy food items like this at dollar stores because it's strange and weird, but this is strange and weird enough to buy and write about. Besides, I am a sucker for corn muffins. So, I follow the easy to follow recipe instructions on the back:
So, as I'm making this and thinking about it in the muffin cups, I look at the back of the box. The Gitrdone foundation? What's that?
Well, if you follow the link at the end of this article, you will see that Larry's son was diagnosed with hip dysplasia. This means that his hip joint is basically not in the right spot. Children born with this have to deal with a limp and even in most circumstances: severe pain and arthritis in their teenage years. So, he started this foundation which not only sells these instant food related items and products, but also does charity celebrity gold matches and events. It has raised over $5 million dollars so far and Larry has even opened an institute in his son's name to work on a way to fight this defect. So, when you read all of this, how could you not buy any of these products.
Anyway, the muffins are moist, not tough, dry or flaky and good. My kids like them. I eat them and after making only weight watcher approved meals, having something that has body and mass to it is good. I give them a 3 out of 5 and think that if you like corn bread muffins, go and get this.
